54 Minutes

Not playable, but you can watch it shoot down the colorful circle foes that approach the center circle. If one touches the center, it will restart.

How high does the "score" go for you?

It's random for now!

Today is more of an e-toy / screen saver, but it's not too far from becoming a game!

Project Use Time: 0 Days 0 Hours 53 Minutes 59 Seconds

I've learned a few things, mainly to lean into the built-ins in GMS2 even harder. That I really need a base project so I don't keep repeating work each time I do this, which I already knew, but is starting to tax on me each time I start from nothing... but again- something cool about starting with a blank project sometimes. Especially if you're trying to teach the tool. But when I'm flying through hacking together things, that's not super teachable.

I'll post this as a devlog and that's it for today!

Did you know:
I share and write these devlogs over on themade.org discord!
here is an invite if you want: https://discord.gg/2GbZeFmUpK

This project isn't published as of writing, but I have a hope I'll return to make it more of a game than a toy.

At that point, I'll change it's name from Tower Toy to something else.

This was inspired by the mobile game "The Tower" which is a spin on tower defence games, but you only have one tower.
I'm sure this idea has exisited even before that game, I've played so many TD games over my history as a gamer.

You can check out the one we made most recently (and took longer than an hour for sure) at :
